Our aim is to be a growing, contemporary church, where people of all ages can come and feel at home. No matter how old you are, or what your experience of church, we hope that you could settle in and become part of the family.
The history of City Church begins when two fellowships were started in the city in the 1980s. In 1993, those churches came together to form what is now City Church. Today we number about 250 people on a Sunday morning plus about 100 at our Sunday evening service and those folks come from all over Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to join us. We also have “planted” a number of other churches in the North East of Scotland and beyond.
We would say that we are a evangelical church (which means that we are part of the mainstream church in the UK), and that we are charismatic (which means that we believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today in the same way he was in Biblical times). We are in good relationships with the other churches in Aberdeen and are members of the Evangelical Alliance.
